From September 4 to 6, 2025, Nyborg will once again set the stage for one of Northern Europe’s most challenging solo sailing events – the Open Baltic Solo Championship. Hosted by Shorthand ECM and Nyborg Sailing Club, and held under the Danish Handicap (DH) rule, this championship will push singlehanded sailors to their tactical, physical, and mental limits.

šŸ A Championship Within the Vegvisir Race Framework

This SOLO Championship is open to boats with a valid DH 2025 certificate and is part of the legendary Vegvisir Race program. The format combines inshore speed gate races with a grueling 94 nautical mile distance race on the Vegvisir Blue Course – a course known for tight inshore maneuvers, strategic transitions, and the open stretches of Langland Belt and the Great Belt.

4 races are required to crown the champion, and the distance race counts double!
