We are looking forward to seeing you soon! Please read this email carefully and visit our webpage. The top menu on the site contains most of the information you’ll need.
Before and Upon Arrival:
Pay close attention to the top menu.
Go to the dropdown menu "Notice Boards 24." Notice Boards
If you are participating in the Vegvisir Race Nyborg, select “Notice Board Vegvisir.” Here you’ll find the Statutes and the Sailing Guidelines. Please read both carefully.
If you are participating in the Danish Singlehand Championships, select “Notice Board SH Championships.” Here you’ll find the Racing Instructions and the Safety & Equipment Instructions. Please read both carefully.
Any amendments or changes to the races will be posted on the relevant Notice Board, so make sure to check regularly.
When You Arrive in Nyborg:
· Visit the “Crane, Slip & POI” (Points Of Interest) section in the top menu. A Google Earth image of the event area shows the locations of everything relevant, including trailer and car parking, the Bureau, crane, slip, mast crane, meeting point, etc. If you arrive at night, you can park and sleep at the trailer and car parking area. On the map you also find the location of the baths and toilets. Access to the showers are sold from the machines at the harbor masters office and at the bath/toilet building at Østerhavn. Program Information:
In the top menu, look for “Program Sailors.” Here you’ll find the full program for the event. If you are racing a trailer boat, you’ll find useful info about where and when the crane is available. Here’s a teaser: It’s open for “Do it yourself” craning from Saturday, September 24.
Where to Moor Your Boat:
We have reserved berths for all participants in the inner harbor of Nyborg (note: NOT in the marina). Your entry fee includes a full week of mooring from August 25 to September 1. If you arrive earlier, you’ll need to pay full price for the extra days. Mooring tickets are sold from a machine at the harbor master’s office and from the machine at the toilet/showers building at Østerhavn.
After the Race discount
· If you are a Silverrudder Challenge participants here is the last treat from the Municipality of Nyborg: After the race, you can leave your boat in the water in the inner harbor or on a trailer in the area marked "trailer and car park." You’ll receive a 50% discount until September 18, both for leaving your boat in the water or ashore. The 50% off discount ticket, is named “Vegvisir”. It’s available from the machine at the harbor master’s office or at the toilet/bath building in Østerhavn.
