The Countdown Is On. Are You Coming?

The countdown is getting very real. Nyborg Sejlforening is getting ready to welcome 114 boats and more than 200 sailors for Vegvisir Race 2026.

And the weather forecast is beginning to look interesting too. There is currently a good westerly breeze in the forecast for the race days. Thursday looks rather wet, so our advice is simple: Bring your faul-weather gear.

Saturday, on the other hand, is currently looking much more promising, with clearing weather and hopefully some sunshine for the afternoon concerts.

Before we get to the start line, however, we need a few final pieces of information from you.

Are you coming?

If your plans have changed and you are no longer taking part in Vegvisir Race, please let us know. We would much rather know now than discover an empty berth or an empty place at the dinner table when everyone arrives.

Are you staying for the Afterparty?

We also need to know who will be staying in Nyborg for the Vegvisir Race Afterparty and Saturday dinner. Help our volunteers set the tables right the first time – and help Vegvisir Race reduce food waste.

We are looking forward to a proper Saturday evening in Nyborg when the boats are back, the sailing is done and the Sailing & Socializing continues.

Wednesday dinner: one important reminder

On behalf of Nyborg Sejlforening, we would like to remind you that Wednesday evening's dinner must be purchased separately. It is not included in the Vegvisir Race entry fee.

And Nyborg Sejlforening has asked us to point out that:

The portions will be considerably larger this year than last year. :-)

So if you want dinner in the tent on Wednesday evening, you can buy your food tickets here.

The talk is included

One important clarification:

The Anders Liebergreen talk on Wednesday evening is included in your Vegvisir Race entry fee, regardless of whether you have purchased a dinner ticket. So you are very welcome to join the talk even if you are not joining us for dinner.

Three things we need from you

Before you head for Nyborg, please make sure that:

1. You tell us if you are no longer coming.

2. You let us know if you are staying for Saturday's Afterparty and dinner.

3. You have purchased your Wednesday dinner ticket if you want to eat with us.
